PORTFOLIO Playing with the wind  

Me, adjusting the bridlelines of an Edo kite.  
    About 25 years ago I start building and flying kites again. Befor that time I flew kites as a little boy.
    At that time I was living in Amsterdam and had to fly my kites in the street or in a park with a lot of trees.
    Just ordenery edy's made from wrapingpaper and wood.
    Now this days I build my kites from ripstopnylon. The technik I used, to make the illustration, is appliqué.
    By the way I am Bas Vreeswijk and I live with my wife Sara in Haaksbergen a small town in the eastern part of
    the Netherlands.
    On the kite pages you wil see a selection of the kites I have build in the last years.
